The film Industry in the 1900's, They were black and while and had a short run time, even so for the time period this was seen as very impressive. Before the 1900's Film was taken in a photographic sequence and sometimes put on some sort of wheel spun, to create the illusion of movement even in ancient times like ancient Greek bowls and cups were shown to have multiple images showing the movement of a subject
The first recorded animation in the 1900's was a stop motion advertising matches, advertising that their soldiers needed them and that they needed donation to do so the impact the stop motion had a long lasting effect on the public.
The Lumieres brother are the people who boosted the use of film in society, they shot films at 16 and have been credited through history to be the first people to make a breakthrough in the Film industry.
Thomas Edison, on contrast to the brothers made films with a person as the center of the scene.
